Happy pregnancy

Hiding from everyone at home, feeling miserable and eating whole ice cream by yourself – these are false stereotypes of pregnancy (maybe only ice cream is true). If you do not want to be forgotten by your friends, do not let them. If you want to have the time of your life while you are pregnant, then go ahead. Stay active and show everyone that one little bump only makes you even happier person.

          Exercise

You can probably find a thousand of different excuses not to exercise, but look at its advantages, like fewer aches and pains, boosted mood, healthy weight gain and an easier and faster labor. They are all totally worth the effort. Exercise for at least 30 minutes per day to really reap the advantages and choose the types of workouts that you enjoy. It does not mean you have to work out every single day, some time-outs are necessary for everyone.

          Body pillow

Partners usually hate body pillows, but you will surely love yours. Especially once you pass the midway point of pregnancy, it will get much harder to find a suitable sleeping position that is actually restful. A body pillow bends and flexes to support you where you need it most and makes sleeping on your side much more enjoyable.

          Relax with pedicure

There is nothing that could change a massage and elevation to ease tired feet. And it will not bother you quite so much that they are swollen if your toenails are freshly painted. Just spend some time to take care not only of your health, but of your beauty and happiness. So if you want something relaxing, pedicure is certainly what you are looking for.

          Yoga

Not only is yoga a proven stress-reducer, its breathing and relaxation techniques may help you manage pain if you use them during labor. Plus, if you take a prenatal class, there is a whole room full of mom-to-be friends to make. But you have to know that you should avoid hot yoga and potentially dangerous poses.

          Clothing shopping

There is something to be said for retail therapy and not having to wear leggings and oversize tees every day for the next few months. Use your changing body as a free pass to your own mini shopping spree. And be sure not to be afraid to splurge a little. A few high-quality pieces that make you feel good and confident about yourself are worth the little extra investment.

          Snacks

Pregnant woman should get a bonus 300 to 500 calories during the second and third trimesters and while they should come from two or three healthy snacks per day, there is no reason they should not be delicious. Some chocolate and strawberries on a toast or Greek yogurt with honey and cinnamon are the best! Healthy snacking will keep your energy level up, your mood swings down and pack an extra punch of nutrition for baby.

          Take naps

I can bet that a midday snooze has not really been part of your schedule since your college days. But now you have a good reason to slip back under the covers. Your rising progesterone levels can lead to more daytime sleepiness and sometimes the only way to feel less tired is to get more sleep. Be sure to use this fantastic opportunity while you can.

Be sure to use at least few tips of this list and you will have the best pregnancy ever. It is your time so use it in the best way you can because when the baby will come, all the attention will go to him, you will have less and less time for yourself. Pregnancy is a great time to catch up for the future!
