          Being a mother is a full-time job that requires a lot of energy and inner strength. Even though, being a parent is a most important job in the world, you must not forget that you have to take care of yourself too. Being a mom in the 21st century can be really tough. We live in a multi-tasking world: parents have to run the home, hold down a job, bring up children and try to look good in the process! It is so easy to forget about caring for yourself in this chaos. \if you will stop caring for yourself, your ability to take care of your children might be influenced and so your ability to enjoy motherhood.

          Every mom needs some time for herself and it is very important to find at least few hours each week to spend those few hours for your own well-being. Mothers journey is filled with plenty of ups and has probably not a few downs. You might experience some of the most difficult challenges in your life. If you want to remain consistent, just find  some time for yourself. It will keep surely keep you healthy and happy.

          Being a mother is much harder than you or anyone imagined, but also, to be a mother is much more rewarding than any person could think. To find this precious time for you will certainly take a lot planning but you will understand that once you will eat well, exercise and recharge each week, most of the things will fall into place.

          If you still think that all the time must be given to your children, read this.

          Exercising is not selfish

Exercising will give you health, body shape you wanted and confidence back and it will surely give your children and family their mum at her best. After playing sports regularly, you will have more energy to keep up with your children which means that you will enjoy your time with them more. Taking care of your body and mind is incredibly important and makes you able to be the best mum you can be.

          You are the idol of your children

Everything you do, will have huge impact for your children. If you want to be an important role model for your little ones, be one. Be the best you can be. Exercise in front of your children, eat healthy with them, show them how to have fun outside, not only while looking at the screen. This way you will not only teach your children how to lead healthy lifestyle and enjoy life but also you will take care of yourself. If you will not drink water or if you will not exercise, how could you ever tell your child that these things are important if they want to be healthy?

          Love yourself and be certain who you are

If you will lose yourself, everyone will. Your family needs you. But most of all, you need you. That is why you must be kind to yourself and do what makes you happy. If you feel the need, spend some time in nature, maybe write something in your journal, enjoy a hot cup of tea, dance a bit in front of a mirror, sing in the shower, allow yourself to be messy sometimes and enjoy being with your partner. If you are a mother, it does not mean, that your personal life is over.

          Get rid of the guilt

It is very easy to believe that you have to cook the perfect meal, keep your home clean and tidy and be everything everyone needs. Forgive yourself and get rid of that guilt, it is so exhausting. It is now need to feel guilty if you want to spend some time only for yourself. You are just a human. Put yourself first sometimes is important. Yes, children are everything, but you are a huge part of them, that is why you have to allow yourself to live a little.

          You are not alone

Share your struggles, talk about memorable moments, become a part of the local community and be honest to yourself and others. All of this will truly help you realise that you are not alone on your journey. To admit that you are struggling through something is usually hard, but be kind to yourself and just ask for help. I am sure that there will be someone who will give you a hand.

          I must repeat myself. Motherhood is hard. Sometimes you might even feel like your life sucks. But just look at the little angle or maybe even angels you created and you will be alright. You can be calm, because your children will surely understand that you have to enjoy your life too, not only to make theirs life enjoyable. I can only wish you one thing, to be the best mom you can possibly be.
