Ideas for recording your baby's life

If you are the parent who thinks that it is very important to record every worth remembering moment of their child, do not worry, we got you. In your baby’s first year they will change more than they will at any other period of their lives. When the first few months of sleepless nights might feel like continues forever at the time, in a second it will feel terribly quick. It will be very soon when your little joy will be toddling around and chattering away to themselves, and you will be grateful for the chance to look back on the first moments of their lives. So here are few really fun and creative ideas and tips how to record your baby's first year.

          1 second everyday

One picture tells a thousand words. Now just imagine how many words a video of those photos could say. Making a video if you are not professional might be quite challenging, but there are plenty of apps you can download on your phone or tablet. I am sure, you can work that out quite easy. The idea is, to record your baby’s life by filming him for 1 second every day and put it all together. It would make such a beautiful memory, not only about the moments you been through, but also about process of the video itself. I believe it will add at least few memorable moments in a long lasting list of yours and your baby’s life. And little tip, you can use this idea any time you want: for the first baby’s year, maybe even for the 18th.

          Photo book

A baby book is a traditional way to document your baby’s first year, but also, one of the best. But if you would prefer something more personal, consider creating a baby’s photo book. Each chapter can be a month or a week in the life of your baby and you should definitely include text in that book too. You can put photos and memories of your little one, funny or memorable things people have said or quotes that you heard and loved. Just get creative with it.

          Infographics

If you are looking for something a little more modern and you are a fan of infographics, you should know that you can get your own personalised ‘my first year’ versions featuring your baby? On the other hand, if you are handy with Photoshop, you might want to consider making of your own featuring your baby’s key stats, milestones and memorable moments with added few photos of course.

          Favorite toy

Lastly, a sweet and funny idea which will surely be great for the memory book.  Choose one toy and take a photo every single month or week of your baby with that toy. Quick tip, use a simple pretty blanket or curtains as a background and it might look as a professional photoshoot. When the year is finally over, you can put taken photos into a collage and overlay wording to say how many months old baby was at each stage. Thanks to the toy you will be able to see exactly how much your baby has grown throughout the year, and give them reference for how tiny they were when they look back at the photos in years to come.

          Yearly report

If you are after something a little geeky and funny, the baby’s first annual report is an amazing choice. There are plenty of ready books online or maybe even better would be to create your own. A difference between a simple traditional baby book and an undated calendar, you can record as many or few notes as you like about your tiny ball of happiness within the year. Almost the same thing is to take a simple diary, you probably would by for yourself and fill in something about baby every day. Easy idea, it is a fantastic gift for your child when he is 18 or maybe already an adult.

When you see a photo of your child when he was a baby, your heart sinks. There is nothing that can change those taken pictures. Just take a camera and get crazy with it. You know that in years there is no chance you will regret it.
